The MTR-3 measures RMS value by means of fast sampling of voltage and current signals, which makes the instrument suitable for acquisition of transient events. A built-in microcontroller calculates measurements (voltage, current, frequency, energy, power, power factor, THD phase angles, etc.) from the measured signals.

The kWh meters types WQR96 MKII and WQ2R96 MKII are intended for energy measurement in single-phase and 3-phase networks, providing a class 1.0 measurement of the imported or exported energy. The meters are microprocessor controlled and equipped with a 7-digit electromechanical counter, which retains the reading in case of supply voltage failure.
